Not long before I left Alaska I had one last get together with some fellow photographers. We had a fun evening wandering around downtown Fairbanks, taking photos and being silly. We chose downtown specifically so that we could capture it just the way it is now; the revitalization phase has begun so we took the chance to photograph some of the quirky things we love so much about it. Hopefully it’ll still retain its Alaskan charm once improvements are complete, but if not at least we were able to freeze this June evening in time.
All images are film, taken with a Bronica ETRSI medium format camera using Kodak Ektar 100 and Fuji Acros 100 and a Holga toy camera (the crazy semi-double exposures at the end) using Fuji 400H.
Aaaah Jax!! These are so great. That portrait of Brittany!…
I am experiencing an intense longing to (actually, finally) go through mine.
Thank you; and I LOVE that one too! You totally should, I want to see downtown through your eyes!
